Claiming loss of use (a replacement car)
When your own car is in the workshop after an accident or for repairs, O Car Rent has a replacement ready, from fuel-saving small cars to 7-seaters and 4-door pickups. We issue a receipt for the rental so you can submit it to your insurer or the at-fault party.
- Message us on WhatsApp or LINE with the date you need the car, the expected repair time and the car you'd like. Tell us you'll use the receipt for a claim.
- We confirm availability and price. Pay a booking deposit to confirm.
- Pick up at our office or the airport, or get delivery in town. Bring your ID or passport and original driving licence.
- Your car is repaired: return ours, get your deposit back and receive the receipt for your claim.
Before you rent, check with whoever pays the claim
- Whether your insurer or the at-fault party pays for a replacement car, and how much, depends on their terms. We can't guarantee any amount you'll get back.
- Ask your insurer about the daily limit and the documents they need, then choose a car to match.
- You pay us the rental as normal and submit the receipt for your claim yourself.

Replacement car rental FAQ
Will my insurer or the other party pay for the rental?
That depends on the insurer's or at-fault party's terms: whether they pay, the daily limit and how many days. We can't guarantee any amount you'll get back. Please check with them before renting; we issue a receipt for the rental so you can submit your claim.
What's the minimum rental?
You can rent from 1 day, but 1-day rentals cost more per day. For 2+ days prices start at ฿750/day (Suzuki Celerio), and the daily rate drops again at 7, 14, 21 and 31+ days.
The garage is running late. Can I extend?
Yes. Please tell us at least 1 day in advance. Extensions are possible when a car is available and are charged at the rate valid on the day you extend. Returning more than 29 minutes late without telling us adds 1 extra day.
How much is the deposit, and when do I get it back?
The deposit is paid in cash at pick-up: economy cars and sedans ฿3,000, 7-seaters and pickups ฿5,000, Fortuner / Pajero Sport ฿10,000, refunded when you return the car in normal condition. A booking deposit of ฿500–5,000 by transfer confirms your booking.
Can you deliver the car to my home or workplace?
Yes. Delivery in Udon Thani city is ฿350 and free from 7 days; Udon Thani Airport is free for any rental length. Pick-up or return before 07:00 or after 20:30 costs ฿500 per handover.
Whose name goes on the receipt?
Tell us the name you need on the receipt when booking, and check with your insurer which documents they require. We'll tell you whether we can issue it before you pay a booking deposit.
