Rental Terms – O Car Rent Udon Thani

Driver requirements

• Age 25–65 with at least 1 year of driving experience
• Your original driving licence; an International Driving Permit (IDP) is accepted. App-based licences, copies and photos are not accepted.
• Original passport or Thai ID card
• Additional drivers: provide their name and show their original licence at pick-up

Payment and deposit

Rates, deposits and insurance by car type:

Rental period

• The minimum rental is 1 day (bookable online too)
• 1 day = 24 hours, so 25 hours = 2 days
• Late return: 29-minute grace period (please tell us in advance). After that, 1 extra day is charged.

Insurance

• CDW (included): the excess is ฿10,000 per incident for economy cars and sedans, and ฿15,000 per incident for 7-seaters, 4-door pickups and SUVs.
• SCDW (optional): costs ฿250/day for economy cars and sedans and ฿350/day for 7-seaters, pickups and SUVs. It reduces the excess to ฿0 (exclusions still apply).

When CDW / SCDW may not cover you

A. Using the car in breach of the rental terms. In these cases CDW / SCDW may not cover you, and the renter may be responsible for the actual damage in full:

• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Driving without a valid driving licence
• Letting an unauthorised person drive
• Grossly negligent or dangerous driving, racing or speed testing
• Off-road driving, or using the car in an unauthorised area or way
• Driving through floodwater or areas with a high risk of water damage

B. Certain types of damage may not be covered by CDW / SCDW, or have extra conditions: glass · tyres and wheels · underbody · interior · car key · car equipment and accessories · excessive cleaning.

Fuel

• Full-to-full policy
• Sedans, eco cars and 7-seaters use petrol (Gasohol 95); all pickups and SUVs are diesel.
• If the tank isn't full on return: fuel at cost plus a ฿500 refuelling fee

Use and driving area

• Paved or concrete roads only. No off-road driving, flood driving or towing.
• No smoking and no pets. Special cleaning and loss-of-use fees apply.
• No cross-border travel (including Laos)

The mileage allowance is an average of 200 km/day over the whole rental. Where you may drive depends on the rental length:

If you exceed the mileage allowance or the agreed area, the price may be adjusted. Please confirm your travel area before booking.

Delivery and collection

Every fee that may apply

Apart from the rental in your quote, these are the only extra charges that may apply. There are no hidden fees.

• Late return: 29-minute grace period, then 1 extra day
• Early or late pick-up or return: free from 07:00 to 20:30; before 07:00 or after 20:30, ฿500 for each pick-up and each return. Please arrange it in advance.
• Hotel, home or other delivery in Udon Thani city: ฿350, free from 7 days · Outside Udon Thani city: available only for rentals of 7+ days, ฿30/km each way
• Credit card payment: 3% fee (card payments from ฿4,000)
• Tank not full on return: fuel at cost plus a ฿500 refuelling fee
• SCDW: optional, ฿250–350/day depending on the car type · Pocket Wi-Fi: ฿100/day, if you choose it
• Special cleaning: tar, cement, mud, pet hair, or smoke or food odours may incur cleaning costs and loss of use for the actual number of days
• Lost key or broken remote: charged at cost
• Tolls and traffic fines: at cost, plus a ฿500 handling fee per ticket
• Upgrades: we always supply the booked model. In case of force majeure we may upgrade you to an equal or higher model.

Roadside assistance and replacement car

During your rental, call +66 84 408 0443 or share your location on WhatsApp or LINE @ocarrent. If the car breaks down or is damaged through no fault of your own, we provide a replacement car (subject to availability) for the rest of your contract. See what to do in an emergency

Cancellation, changes and refunds

• Cancel with at least 24 hours' notice. The booking deposit is non-refundable in all cases.
• After confirmation, prices, discounts and pricing conditions of the booking cannot be changed.
• You may shorten the rental, but the originally booked number of days is charged. There is no refund for early return.
• Extensions are possible when a car is available, at the rate valid on the day you extend.
• A no-show, missing documents or failure to meet the rental conditions counts as a cancellation by the customer, with no refund.

Example: you book 4 days but use 2, so you pay for 4 days. You ask to extend from 4 to 5 days: that's possible if a car is available, and 1 day is added at the current rate.
